Norcross Band Booster
Fall Raffle
The Norcross Band Booster Club will be conducting a 2024 Fall Raffle. Tickets will be sold by band families to
the general public for $10.00 each. The prize is $2,500.00 (two thousand five hundred dollars). The following
rules are applicable to the raffle and subject to change where required by Federal and Georgia law. If any of
the following rules conflict with Federal or Georgia law, the Booster Club will defer to and enforce the law.
- The raffle prize is $2,500.00. All remaining proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Norcross Band
Booster Club.
- An independent judge will draw a ‘single raffle winner’ from all ticket sales stubs. The judge will not be
a Booster Club member and have no opportunity to win the raffle.
- The date and location for the raffle drawing is Friday, November 1, 2024 at Norcross High School
stadium during the football game.
- The raffle winner does not have to be present for the drawing to win.
- The raffle winner must be at least 18 years old and a US resident.
- The following booster club board members, and any immediate family members living in the home, are
not eligible to win the raffle:
o Sonia Lee – Co-President
o Peggy Connolly – Co-President
o Lisa White – Co-Treasurer
o Nancy Dong – Co-Treasurer
o Anila Ballerstadt – Secretary
o Eurica Woods – Fundraising
o Jill Von Hagen – Raffle Chair
o Lee Newman – Band Director
o Maria Phillips Hesketh – Band Director
o Tyler Roquemore - Director of Percussion
- The Booster Club will withhold the required State and Federal income taxes, if any, for the raffle
winner as determined by law. The calculated taxes, both State and Federal, will be deducted from the
winner’s payout amount ($2,500.00). The raffle winner will receive the winning payout amount minus
the required income taxes.
- The Raffle winner is required, at the time of acceptance, to complete the appropriate State and Federal
tax forms so that the Booster Club may file the required income tax documents. The Booster Club
reserves the right to void the winning ticket if the winner does not submit the required tax forms at the
time of acceptance.
- The raffle winner may choose to decline acceptance of the prize. If the winner declines the prize, the
winning ticket will be voided and the Booster Club will draw another winner from the remaining ticket
sales.
- The Booster Club is required by law to keep detailed records of all raffle receipts and expenses, prizes
awarded, and the winner’s tax withholding forms for a period of three years.
- If the winner can not be located after 14 days, another winner will be drawn from the remaining
tickets.
- The winner must agree to have their name published in announcements.
